Nia Coates
My name is Nia Coates. I was fortunate to have lived the first 18 years of my life in the Caribbean island of Antigua. Currently I am a trainer at the great organization of Prime Athletic Development. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science.
My early years in sports started when I was 5 years old playing soccer. At Nine I was already selected to the junior athletic team to represent Antigua and Barbuda in Regional games in Jamaica. For the next eleven years, I traveled throughout the Caribbean and North America representing the twin Island nation, in Track and Field, Basketball and Soccer. During that time, I participated in the Digicel Jumpstart youth basketball tournament that saw me participate in Basketball Clinic and attended NBA games with Brooklyn Nets, New York City.
Having attended Bethany college in West Virginia, I was a member of the women’s Soccer Team and even the Basketball team. I still very much enjoy playing Basketball. As recent as 2023 I was selected to the Antigua and Barbuda Women’s Football team and played in all three games in that series. I thoroughly enjoy helping athletes attain their true potential as they yearn to do so physically and mentally.
